You can reverse it, have the levers in the front, and have no problems until you use a headstock mandrel or cross slide. Best way to tell if a lathe or headstock etc is left or right is where the headstock faces when the lever to move the headstock is in the back. Is there any practical reason as to why these continental watchmakers had the headstock on the right hand side? Were most continental watchmakers left handed? Yes, Geneva lathe cross slides and Mandrel headstocks are made in both left and right versions. The Wolf Jahn cross slide is reversed! Now I'll just have to work out some sort of pulley system for right sided drive. It included one 6mm Lorch & Schmidt and one 8mm Wolf Jahn, both with a cross slide each. My father and I shared a batch of tools that I think was a watchmakers estate a while back. Great, thanks Graham! This is going to sound a bit strange but I actually had a reversed cross slide, just never noticed that it was reversed because I always used the Lorch Schmidt one with the Lorch lathe.
Sorry, I have not way of turning them around as all Apple software only seems to edit the code that allows them to be seen the right way around on my units.) Best regards /Karl.
(Thought that I had finally figured out with way is the inherent 'up' on my iPad but apparently I thought wrong. Was this intended for use with a dedicated cross slide? Or is it something to do with being intended for use for left hand use? Left hand use would still mean trouble though as it would interfere with one of the hand wheels. Some info on his site suggests that my 6mm lathe is from 1925 and the mandrel would be from 1955 but I find it hard to believe that the tooling orientation would be changed during that period of time, they both take the same diameter bed.
I tried looking at some manuals on Steffen Pahlows website ( ) but couldn't find any info on the fixed mandrel version. I'm certain that the spindle is the right way around, the cone is towards the mandrel plate. Sad Love Story Korean Drama Torrent Download.

I can reverse a lot of my tooling but not the cross slide, which would be pretty indispensable for boring and such. Turns out that the channel for the bed is reversed on this one though. I have a 6mm Lorch lathe from before with lots of accessories and I though: neat! Then I'll be able to use them all with the mandrel headstock! The mandrel is from, at least what I though to be, a similar period in time from Lorch, also with a D-bed. I recently got a Lorch mandrel headstock and got around to cleaning it up yesterday.
